Default b18b swap into EK...top rad hose was whistleing..

just did my swap on my EK..with a b18b

took it for a drive...and it runs good...lol actually..side note...just took it out...brand new motor mounts...i didn't put on the AC mount tho....bad idea....pretty new clutch too with azenis....took it down the road...hit second hard...motor just blew the shiz outta that driver side mount lol....but...i made the mount better when i got home and were back to normal...

but anyways...took it for a drive after that and after like 20 mins of beatin on her...i hear this whistleing...and i'm like wtf?? pull into a drive and its just smokin....but...temp gauge is at normal...so i pop the hood...and the rad just has fluid spoo'in everywhere...is the rad fucked or is somethin plugged..i can't see anything being plugged b/c the motor was fine at operating temps...

FYI i was usin the D15b7 intercooler from an EG..a.k.a its a *******...but it shoulda atleast worked...

i'm swappin it for a GSR rad but i just wanted some info

prob just leaking, if im not mitaken the bseries hose isn't exactly the right diameter for that rad so thats a common leak spot...just get a clamp and tighten that hose connection real good.

Also, consider replacing the radiator... get a bigger one that can move and cool more fluid at a time.

The B series hose is bigger than the little tube on the Dseries radiator, if you use the B series hose with the stock clamp it wont be able to seal pefectly and when you build pressure it's gonna leak out of there.

You can either get yourself one of those clamps with the screw on it and tighten it really good using the bseries hose, or just heat up the end of the dseries hose to make it fit the bseries motor and the other end will fit perfect on the rad.
