when i ran the gc extended strut tops, i had about an inch in the front. that doesnt sount like alot, but with the wheel rate of the ef civics, thats plenty. even for the extremly bumpy lots here in the tri-state area. now that im using coilovers with strut tops that mirror stock ones, i dont know who much i have. and they are blown up now anyway. so it probably want much.

before i hit the bumpstop? 1/4". first part of the stop is pretty soft though, so i don't count that really. about 1/2" before that part of the stop is used up though. total available bump travel for me measured at the wheel at a 4.75" ride height was 1.5" from static to fully bottomed out. i'm lower now, and the bump stop is a MAJOR part of my suspension setup. however, i have the "wrong" civic for STS. oh, shortened koni's, stock top hats. the shock bottoms out the same time the uca hits the tower and the tire hits the inner fender seam.

Bump stops are for wimps.

Oh wait...you drive your car on the street, don't you Nate? Nevermind...

i wouldn't do that. at least not without some serious thought. i've put as much thought into my bumpstops as i did my spring rates. i've got more bumpstops of varying rates then i do springs. current bumpstop technology makes them a valuable tuning tool.

I don't want to cut off any material, I've got Illuminas right now and they don't like me as it is. I don't wanna **** them off more. I think some extended tophats are my best option (unless I decide to switch to Konis).
