Default Alarm sensitivity - Correct me if I'm wrong

I have a Viper alarm. Correct me if I'm wrong, I CAN NOT adjust the sensitivity level myself. The shop need to do it. Or can I? If they were to do it, do they have to take things apart (meanning require me to drop it off), or something as simple as turning a screwdriver?

Please advise.

But sounds like a job for the pros. I wouldn't know where to begin to take it a part.

Anyone got time to list where to start on a 97 Civic? I guess the steering assembly is first?

Thanks for the info.

Ya, I wouldnt mess with it, but when I had mine adjusted (free) it took them 5 seconds to do it. I wont tell you where the alarm brain is (obvious reasons) but it takes 2 seconds. Good Luck.

Look over tekens post, it has all you need. It's as simple as locating that clear box and turning a screwdriver on the right dial (ones pre-warn, one is full blown).

If you still can't seem to find it, call up the people that installed your alarm, or take it in for a visit and ask them to tell you where they put the alarm. They should do this for FREE, and when you tell them all you want is sensitivity up/down they should offer to do it for FREE..remember, you paid to get it in, you paid to get it done your way.
