Default NEW TO ACCORDS....NEED HELP!!

I don't know much about the 90-93 accords and was hoping some peeps can hook me up. I have a 92 as a beater car, but it has low miles and is in mint condition, so I may consider upgrading it a little bit. What is the chassis code for the 92 ex 4 door? Are there many differences between the 90-91 and 92-93? Now, my final and most important question...where can I fing jdm parts for it? Thanks a bunch fellas!

I just figured out that the chassis code is CB7. What's a CB5 and a CB9? If there is any other general information anyone wants to share, please do. Again, I know nothing about the CB7s!

check out cb7tuner.com. cb9 = wagon. cb5 = the accord inspire in japan aka the acura vigor here. Best bet for jdm parts is probably ebay. what parts do you want? Im parting out my car and a lot of stuff is sold but I still have jdm headlights, fog lights, climate control, rain visors, and arm rest... I think thats all.

Yeah, I've seen jdm one piecers on ebay for around 100. I can't seem to find much else as far as jdm parts anywhere. I've been searching the net and emailing jdm sites all night.

besides what I listed there aren't many more oem parts that are different. the bumper has a recessed license plate area which I forgot is another thing I have available. some of the bumpers also have intersection lights or bumper poles, both were optional) Some 92-93 models also have clear bumper lights with an amber reflector. Also the gauge cluster is different of course. Theres a flush mount spoiler which isn't a jdm only item, it was an option here too. Steering wheel is slightly different as well and most that I have seen are leather wrapped. I also have one of those to sell. 90-91's have chrome trim around the headlights and tail lights. theres a moonroof visor with an adjustable vent in the center. theres also an optional air freshener and map light. I think that just about sums it up for oem parts. Then of course theres jdm aftermarket parts... mostly people are after the grills such as g-square and chargespeed. this is a picture of my car with the g-square front end.

I really like the front of your ride, but if the jdm headlights have fog lights build in, why are bumper fog lights needed? just curious. With the jdm headlights, is new wiring needed because of the fog lights? Where is the jdm spot for the button? As far as tailights go, is there a site where I can find red and clears besides ebay? Are there any other cb model codes I should know?

the headlights do not have foglights built in despite what some people want to think. the low beam is an h4 bulb on the outside, but only the low filament is wired up. Don't ask me why they did it this way, but thats what they did. the high beam is on the inside and is an h1 bulb. if you were to use the inside area for a fog light it would be blinding to oncoming traffic. fogs in the bumper are h3's, the switch for those is the dummy panel next to the rear defrost button:

hmmm. I see them on ebay saying that the inner light is a fog light. I dont understand why they would put an h4 bulb in and not use it for high and low. I figured the inside light was appropiately aimed for fog light use. WTF!? I don't think I want them anymore!
Thanks for filling me in with everything.

as 93accordex has already said, the h4 is not a foglight. though the bulb is dual filament, it's not wired as such.
probably the best article you can read regarding jdm headlights for teh 4th gen accord

where to find jdm parts for the 4th gen accord

yep.

all oem bumpers have a template on the other side of the bumper for the foglight. if you don't have factory fogs there, and you find a set, when you take off your bumper, you'll see the template there. you cut it out, and put the foglight in.
