Fuel line leaking! Spraying all over! Help me out! :)
I just finished installing a new head gasket in my car and when I pressurized the fuel system I noticed that there is a leak in my fuel line and gas was spraying all over!
It is spraying from the fuel feed line fitting where the line connects to the fuel rail... where that funky plastic **** is located...
Here...

Sorry the pics suck, my camera is doing weird things...
This is the fitting that I am talking about...

When I replaced the intake manifold, I connected the fuel banjo fitting with one washer between the banjo and the fuel rail and then that funky washer with notches is in between the banjo and the ****... I tightened the **** down by hand until the plastic cover slipped instead of the fitting getting tighter...
So, the fuel is spraying for some reason... did I install the washers correctly?
I think I might see if I can replace those washers, maybe that's the problem... what do you think?

I tried tightening it with a wrench with no luck... gas still sprayed everywhere when I pressurized the system...
The Honda dealership is closed today and I went to four auto parts stores trying to find the washers with no luck...
I think I will have to wait until tomorrow and go pick up the correct washers at the dealership...
I'm pretty sure the fitting is not supposed to be tighter than hand tight... I have a shop manual as well as Helms and Haynes, not one of them gave a torque value for this fitting... so I'm clueless, I guess the only thing it could be is the washers...
I can't think straight because I've been out in the garage breathing in gas fumes for the last few hours trying to figure this out so I'm going to quit for the day and give it another try tomorrow...

replace the washers and use a wrench to tighten them and make sure that you didnt cross thread it but it should be good with the new washers
lol When i read the first time, i already knew what going on here.
I had the exact same problem. I wasn't tightening the nut enough, don't worry about it breaking, and tighen it. That fixed the problem for me.

why dont you go to your local parts store and get a fuel filter and use the brass washers that come with it for your fuel rail?? I had the same problem as you when I had to use an obd1 fuel rail on my 1st gen b16 and believe it or not the only thing that fixed the gas from spraying everywhere when the fuel pump kicked on was to use NO washers at all and since then it hasnt dripped a drop.
I think that washer u have in the pic is a "crush" washer... those don't have to be replaced every time like Honda says... but yours may need it. Find out from Honda if it is a crush washer and get a new one before u start spending any $
