why do i have 2 in's, 2 out's and 1 sub RCA plug? ipod question
hey guys, today i bought the monster iCable for my ipod. little to my surprise when i detatched my stuff for my headunit, i found one input plug for my front, and one for my rear so that gives me two pairs of RCA plugs. the iCable gives you one pair that directly plugs into the ipod. i mean it works and everything but only works depending on which one i plug it into (front or rear speakers). my sub doesn't work at all since there's not even a connection for it. i asked my friend and he said his headunit only has a pair of plugs for the RCA and one sub in, while i have a lot more. so right now i'm totally stumped on how i can make this worked and wondered if any of u guys could help me. btw i have an alpine cda-7893 if that's any help also. sorry for the long post but i kinda wanted to go into detail. thanks.
You need an alpine aux plug. It sounds like your feeding the ipod audio into the alpine front or rear preout.
You can get than at any local alpine dealer. Make sure your deck has aux mode first. You can check by going to the setup menu on the radio. (AUX off/on) then you the the part.
