I was looking thru Tire Rack's website..and I had no idea what half of these even existed.

BFGoodrich g-Force T/A Drag Radial

Hoosier R3S03
Threadwear = 40

BFGoodrich Comp T/A Drag Radial

The new version of the BFG...nitto's suck, I have them. All other are not for drag racing.

Actually, I have a set of Nittos and they are pretty good. I had a lot of experience with Nittos on domestics and they worked amazing. I'm sure the new BFGs are great but I wouldn't necessarily say the Nittos suck. I've netted a few 2.0 60' with them. no pun intended though

2.0 kinda sucks considering my friend was able to pull a 2.13 from 340 threadwear 205/40 tires

I would expect closer to 1.9 with good drag radials.

I think I will go for the 205/50-14 g-Force T/A...its slightly smaller diameter then my 205/40-16s..but should work well.
That 0 threadwear rating is nuts though! They cant last very long at all!

Why don't you just get a nice set of street tires, and a pair of real slicks?

I have the Nitto's...not all that enthused, I believe that it's all marketing on the tires that I have. They are only produced in 205-45/15 for me, which means I receive a very small and stiff sidewall(yes, it's stiff). It also happens to be that with the change from 195-55/15 to 205-45/15 you are going to a tire that is ~5% smaller, which changes your gearing, which allows you to accelerate at a much quicker rate. Best 60 ft on these tires 2.1 at Sears Point and Sacramento Raceway...~130+ runs.

Street legal class...also they're pretty fun for street use.

they are about the same price for slicks and drag radials just a 50 dollar difference
just save your money and get some slicks. the season is still months away

LOL...our season pretty much end in a couple months...gets too hot here to race

105 degrees at 10:00 PM

I know slicks are only $50 more...but the real killer is the price of rims.
To run some 22x13x8 slicks, I would need 13x7 LEnso (or something similar)..which is liek $300 for both rims. So $250 + $300 = $550 for slicks
vs $50-$100 for HX rims + $200 drag radials = $250-$300

Also, I get some street challanges sometimes...as I have one coming up vs a LS1 Z28, and Id like something like drag radials vs my street tires.

just save your money. you can use for the street and the track.
why not pull 2 car lengths on the ls1 or z28 right out of the hole.
your a little too late. my friend sold his 13" lenso's for like 350 with slicks
thosr slicks only had about 10 runs on them

How would I use the slciks on the street
Not very smart..it will screw the slicks pretty bad.

Sucks, I would have bought them...oh well.

I dont know, those g-FORCE radials look nice..I mean cmon...0 treadwear! Thats nuts! Im willing to bet you could put down 1.95 60' times with those

13" rims won't work on a Type R.....oh yeah you don't have a Type R - well on your CIVIC they might - but then you have to use crapola brakes.

None of them.

I would mount up my set of Mickey Thompson 15" slicks. 15/8/22

I have a set of bfg drag radials (not the g-force) And I liked them alot. I only have had a chance to run on them a few times (4-5) and they cut all the wicked wheel hop I had with the factory tires. My one good run with them on was a 14.51 at 95MPH with a 60' of 2.22 Sec.
I think that the BFG's last a bit longer than the nittos, and have a softer sidewall for sure!
