Default Which way do you like it????

Well I am pulling the motor out of a 93 dx 5 speed 4 door for my boss and replacing it with another d15. I was just wondering which would make my life easier. Drop the motor and trans or just the motor and also is it easier to pull it out the top or drop it out the bottom. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

James

Pull the motor as a whole and you have to lift it from the top unless if you buy a jack to lift the car higher then.... 2ft (i think) but to get that jack you might as well buy a cherry piker and engine stand combo for the same price at pep boys.

I have a lift at my disposale so which way would you go with that thrown in the mix. I can pull it from the top with the beams or lift the car with the lift so either way.

if you're using a lift, drop it out the bottom as a whole. helps that you have something to drop it on (wooden frame, jack, anything) just so it doesn't drop about 6-7 inches out of the bottom of the car.

OK so consensus says all out thru the bottom of the car.
