damaged mount on Si dash
After a 650 mile road trip i was elated to finally have the Si parts in my possesion i've been seeking for the last 6 months.

While prepping the dash for installation i noticed this. This is the upper middle mount. I can't believe i didn't see that before

rear of the upper middle mount

I'd like to forget about that mount and just install the dash. Do you guys foresee any issues? Thanks

I haven't installed it yet. The rest of the mounts are fine so i'm sure it's not going anywhere. I'm concerned with rattling.

did you have a leftover screw for that mount?

have you ever heard of plastic welding? its not perfect, but you would just cut the square back out of the hole and melt a new square in. if you're concerned about rattles, put something in there to stop them, like that thin white packing foam.
I'll give plastic welding a shot. I hope mapp gas and a screwdriver works.
When i was swapping vin numbers i got an idea. I can buy some beefy weatherstripping an run it along the rear of the dash. Add an extra layer where that mount is (i mean should be
). I think that will stop the rattling.
Thanks to all that have participated
