Video from track
I was on a race track with my ITR on Wednesday. Here is a short video of one lap: http://www.veit.cz/video/itr_track.avi (16MB DivX).
This track is very near my town (5 miles or so). The track condition was very strange, it was not raining, but the track was wet and somehow dirty, so it was very, I mean very slippery. One turn could be almost dry so you could run fast, but the other was wet and very slippery. I have ran in rain several times and the track is not such slippery in continuous rain. That's why I spinned at the end of the video

Reason: Driver error
-Learn to revmatch. it will stop you from upsetting the car as much. (faster turn in)
-turns should be one continuous motion (as much as you can)
-dont follow that red cars line in front, follow your own line.
-lastly dont pay attention to the other cars in front or behind you asa if you are in a race. if they are closing on you, just point them by.
-you spun because you were driving out of your capabilities at the time. I don't see you driving 9/10ths anywhere, and i think you just need more seat time. This is just like all the spin outs or "offs" I've had in the past...driver error
these are just my observations however, and should be taken with a grain of salt.
czech republic...are you anywhere near prague? I've always wanted to visit

Thanks for you opinions, you are 100% right. I know I'm far from a good driver, I track my ITR for fun only. In fact, the driver in the red Prelude is the best driver I know with great experiences, so I can't compare to him on a track. The only pisitive for me could be that he was alone in his Lude, while we were two persons in my ITR. But I don't know if this makes any difference on a race track?
It does
both positive/negative
positive for you: you and your passenger seem similiar in body mass...so now your car has weighting on both sides of the car.
negatives: you have something thats around 60-80 kilos sitting next to you thats slowing your acceleration down
over all, your car should be "faster" without the instructor, once the driver (you in this case) is at a level where he/she feels comfortable enough to go solo. However, your car "will" handle differently with/without passenger. Keep that in mind.
I was at an autocross one time with an instructor who looked like twice my size/weight...with him in the car i drove much better because i was throwing his body weight around to make the sharp turns. As soon as he got out i was going way too hot into corners and i found that my tires werent gripping as much as they had been with him in the car.

What should I do in the beginning of the light oversteer, that ended with a spin in the end, because I didn't correct it? Should I turn the steering wheel little to the left (my spin was in a right turn) and push the accelerator to the floor? Or anything else? The oversteer started really slow and I would have time to correct it, but I simply didn't know how, so I just watched what happens
. Keep in mind that the track was extremly slippery, so I already was on the edge when it started to oversteer.

Yes, on a FWD car thats exactly what you should do!
The most important is that you floor the accelerator as fast as you can when noticing your tail starting to spin. That will cause the front of the car to "pull" the rear back in again. The counter steer usually comes instinctively to most people
.
When driving in the winter up here in Norway during very slippery conditions, you learn very fast how to counter over/under steering. Or else you end up in the ditch
. Comes in very handy during trackdays in the summer.

Nice video and nice pics.
And i agree with nightrider. You really should wear helmet.
Have you seen this vid? http://www.impreza.nu/ssi2/exp...O.mpg
He got knocked out even with a helmet on. Imagine what would happen without it.
