Default engine light help...

the check engine light came on in my bro's midori (96 hatch) and i can't find the plug to check the code. It's completely stock as far as engine goes, but the plug isn't by the ecu like it is in my eg. anyone have any ideas? i found a brown plug that looks pretty much the same by the fuse box, but when i jumped it together nothing happened. here's a pic of what i found...

Keep looking for it because is there(by the ecu) and it's not brown is green. I have a 96 coupe and that's the way it is on mine. Unplug the ECU so you so you can see better in there, mabe is stuck behind it or something.

If no one has played around with it, it should be in a green rubber type sleeve. The two plug are in this cover or sleeve thing to keep it clean and out of the way. Some times the rubber cover is taped to the ecu wiring.
