actually its pretty comfortable, it looks like your hand will be really akward since its so high up, but i actually enjoyed driving an ep3..i barley noticed the difference between any other 5spd and the ep3

no good for the "wanksta lean"

-it feels great when you do track sessions . during highway and street commutes, it gets to me sometimes .

FYI. notchy at 2nd/ 3rd. when you shift from 5k and up, notchiness goes away.

I think it's pretty intuitive. Like everyone else, I'm used to shifting on the floor, but it took me all of a 1 minute inside the EP on a test drive before I became completely comfortable with the shifter there. You'll have no problems.

it's very ergonomic.

my hand falls to it very naturally. it impresses a lot of people i have let driven the car. some of my closest friends are pro and club rally drivers and navigators and they LOVE the WRC feel of it.

if only it were awd...

Glad I'm not the only one who loves the shifter placement for getting those special "treats" while rollin'!!!

Love the shifter placement. I was another person that only needed a minute to get used to it on a test drive.

I still haven't gotten the chance to experience one of those "special treats", though, although it looks like it would work out great. At least I'm not always hitting a passenger's knees like I did in my '86 Si.

When you have your hands high on the wheel like 10 and 2, when you are really driving it, the positioning is perfect. Hand can make the shift and be back on the wheel very quickly.

I'm sure it would be nice to have the passenger knee keep hitting you hand when you're shifting into 5h

the 4 months ive had my EP, i totally love the position of the shifter. shifts are smooth and it feels great just moving it through the gears. at first i hated not having an arm rest on the center console, but i basically just rest my hand on the shifter, or its on the steering wheel like it should be.
