300d/ Digital Rebel??? What lens? Post some pics?
What lens would you buy for one of those cameras for all around good shooting? If you had about a Max of 250 OTD price range? Would the best bet be a $130 lens(18-55) Comes with it? or buy a separate one with the body?
Canon EF 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 II USM is $ 229.95 B&H# CA28105352EF
Guess it depends on if you want more wide angle or telephoto.

The 18-55 mm (stock) lense is half decent for macro shots if you know how to use it. I'm sure you could make do with a 28-105 mm lens. However in the future you should consider a lense that'll give you more flexibilty from close range.
I'd check here for some options: http://consumer.usa.canon.com/...d=148

Huh? I'm pretty sure that's a picture of the actual lens he has.
