What lens would you buy for one of those cameras for all around good shooting? If you had about a Max of 250 OTD price range? Would the best bet be a $130 lens(18-55) Comes with it? or buy a separate one with the body?

Is the 28 ok for macro/close up's as well? Are quantum lenses and good?

 

The 18-55 mm (stock) lense is half decent for macro shots if you know how to use it. I'm sure you could make do with a 28-105 mm lens. However in the future you should consider a lense that'll give you more flexibilty from close range.

how much did you end up spending? sigma makes pretty good lenses.

250 Out the door for both at Samys camera in LA(Very close to beverly hills)

 

you would have had better results with a 28-105usm

because i have persoanl experience with all three lens....and personally got better results with the 28-105usm

I personally like the 28-135 IS USM. This was my first step up from the 18-55
