Just imagine getting off a parkway with a Jeep Grand Cherokee behind you and you slow down to make a right turn onto the off ramp and............there's SOMEONE'S RUSTED MUFFLER RIGHT SMACK DAB IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD!!!!
Keep in mind the off ramp has moving traffic in both directions and there's 1 lane on both sides with a tailgating Jeep Grand Cherokee behind you!!!!!
So it was either.........
1) Head for the hills.......
2) Play chicken with on-coming motorist coming in the opposite direction or....
3) Slam on the breaks and Take on the muffler.....
Well i chose option 3 and now there's a quarter sized hole in my oil pan where all of my oil is currently leaking out so if anyone has a spare ITR oil pan in the NY Tri-state area they would like to get rid of please shooot me a pm or call 845 590 8627
But the real reason why I made this tread is to remind you DD ITR guys to keep your eyes peeled you NEVER KNOW WTF might be waiting for you in the middle of the road!!!!!!!!!!!
P.S. Do any of you guys know where I might be able to get one for a good price or what other B-Series oil-pans are compatible with the R's????

THANKS for all the help guys I really appreciate it, the caR has been out of comission since 4:58p.m. EST
Unlucky, hope you have it repaired soon.
A similar thing happened to me last week, there was a black piece of plastic face down on the road (about the size of a those attachable wheel hubs). I didnt even see it until I saw it spinning in my rear view mirror - that was after it had spun off my front tyre hitting the underside of the car leaving a nasty 1cm dent.
Keep your eyes on the road lads.

Imagine my surprise last week when, before my eyes on the winding onramp appeared a ceiling fan!! white blades and all
I moved left to avoid the blades but one just touched the passenger quarter panel and left a 6 inch long skinny straight mark on the clearcoat
most of it buffed out.. bleh

Haha sorry to laugh 330r but what r the chances of seeing a ceiling fan in front of u on the onramp?!? We can post that on the wall of weird!</TD></TR></TABLE>
Yeah, lol, I was seeing red when it happened, cursing the owner of said ceiling fan for their lack of hauling skills - why oh why?! - but I'm over it now... just a lesson learned like the thread starter said, you gotta watch out.
Could have been much worse!
