I have a 2005 honda accord ex 6 cyl. I have a very annoying seat beat chime that goes off every so often when I don't wear it. How do I disconnect the chime. I don't care about the light I can live with that, I did on my older honda.

 

look under the seat near the seat belt there should be a connector there just unplug it and your set.

Wear the seat belt. It's there for a reason. As is the damn chime and visual indicator.

The easiest way to make the chime go off is to put the seatbelt on.

There's no law saying that you have to have your seatbelt buckled when the car is running, and that's all the original poster was asking about. There's no law that says you have to have your seatbelt buckled when the car is running or when driving on private property, in which case it would be useful to know how to disable that chime.

What's next, not being able to start the car unless the seatbelt is buckled? Mandatory motorcycle style helmets for car drivers?

 

Just wear the seatbelt... It's not like it's such a terrible inconvience that you need to go and disable the chime.
