I think my clutch is on its way out and so i'll be needing a new one soonish. I was looking on ebay and there are sellers selling exedy clutch kits for $130 plus $100 shipping to europe (this is still $100 cheaper than i can buy it here) After doing numerous searches it seems that these are just replacement clucthes (which is what i need anyway) my car is weekend driven only and rarely see's the track and i have gone as far with mods as i am going to (i think) so i dont need a stage II or III or whatever clutch. Has anyone bought one of these of ebay? Is there anything wrong with them? For me to buy an OE ITR clutch from honda will cost me approx $330 and a Borg&Beck or Sachs from an auto parts place will be slightly dearer, so should i just go ahead and get one of these as its basically all i need anyway???????

The seller i was looking at is gripforce-clutches he has a feedback rating of 99.8% and has 3319 pos. feedbacks....which is pretty darn good in my book!
Exedy... I'll never use one of those again.
Btw have you looked at clutchcityonline.com ? Very good pricing and service. I have bought from them twice with not one complaint.

rob, the problem with your exedy cerametallic is bc the only application for the ITR is the thin plate version...thats why it didn't last so long
whoever you bought it from should have warned you

did you get the $130 OEM replacement exedy or the racing organic
that usually sells for 250?
did the box they came in look like this? Racing Organic

or this? OEM replacement

there is a big difference between the 2

I realise they are not the organic clutch and are an OE replacement clutch....but i still need to know are they the same exedy clutch i would get if i were to buy an OE replacement one here...like theyre not factory rejects or anything. I am still using the stock factory clutch and it performs fine for all my needs, will this one be just the same?
Carl, since you are in the UK, I would suggest you consider the AP Racing Formula Clutch (yes, it's the same folks that make the brake chit); you can get just the clutch disk and use it with the OEM pressure plate; for a street-driven NA car, it is hard to beat imho. The disk should run about $250.
You can see the part no. in the photo:

So theres no need to replace the clutch cover and release bearing along with it (although i probably would replace the bearing as mine is getting a little whiney when sitting idling)
Definitely replace the release bearing; the AP unit is designed to be used with the OEM bearing. You should probably replace the pilot bearing in the flywheel while you have the clutch out.
