Default 1994 Accord CEL question

My Accord Checck Engine Light came on recenlty, instead of paying the dealer crazy$$ to tell me the reason why it came on i decided to do the self diagnostic myself with the paper clip in the connector.

Well when i did it what i got was that the engine light came on and stayed on it never flased any amount of times so is this mean its code "1" or not?? or does it mean that there is no codes set in the ECU?? I just figured that that meant a code #"1" which is the troublecode for the O2 sensor, but before i go and replace that i wanna make sure that that is the problem and not something else or maybe there is nothing wrong at all and i just have to reset the light

ANY INFO WOULD HELP

clear the code and drive it code 1 will not cause runnubility problems and see if it comes on again if it does replace the 02 sensor get an aftermarket bosch oem with the plug that way you don't have to cut and splice wires

Ok well i tried to reset the code but it still came back on, i then re0did the self diagnostic and still i got a code, i guess "0" cause the light just comes on and stays on when i turn the key to the "on" position. So i guess that IS a code"0" and not "1" which would make it the ECM.
is that easy to fix ? replace? any advice suggestions?

PCM has an internal fault, replace with a known-good used unit. You can get them cheap on Ebay.

ECM = engine control module
TCM = transmission control module (auto-trans)
PCM = powertrain control module after 199?? when ECM & TCM were combined into one unit.

Check wiring from CEL lamp to the ECM just in case it's a simple short & maybe you don't really have a code.

It'll flash for code 1, it won't be on solid when you jumper the SCS connector.

When you jumper the connector with NO codes present, the CEL should light up solid. Code zero (bad ECM) is when the CEL goes out & doesn't blink a code.

to coolrahool, it sounds like your O2 sensor. I had mine completely out for like 3 months and I never noticed a drop in gas or drivablitly problems. I finally got one (from a junkyard for free!!) and installed it because I was getting pissed at that bright *** yellow (I think) light.
