gsr crank in Ls block? + b20, b21(old prelude) for frankenstein
Will a gsr crank, rods, and pistons fit in an LS block for a turbo application? Also- can the b20 and b21 blocks from the old prelude(90-91) be used for a frankenstein motor? I can't find these in the raceseek chart, and I've searched the archives already. I have the b18a, but was aslo wondering about the b20and21.Thanks!
Actually, Tom (I think) at ludespeed has done a B20VTEC using the B20A5. Of course it was in a Prelude, so I don't think you'll be mounting that up in any Civic. He also said that it wasn't worth it.
Also, about bastards, the first B18A engine is from the 86-89 Accord (the ones with the pop up lights. It's 130 HP, and carbed, from the Accord GXL-S, and EXL-S). It'a unrelated to the Integra B18A engine.
The original B20A is from the 83-87 Prelude 2.0Si, and 86-89 Accord 2.0Si. It is unrelated to the 88-91 B20A5, B20A, and B21A1, which as stated by LG_R32 un yet unrelated to the B20B/B20Z.
Oddly enough, the original 2G lude/3G Accord B20A is 160 HP, while the JDM/USDM 3G Lude is 135 B20A5/140 B21A1/145 JDM B20A. And it also means that 86-89 Accord 2.0Si has more HP at 160 than 90-93 Accord 2.0Si with F20A DOHC 150 HP.
Other boards know me as the authority on all things JDM.
