my friend has a 1991 hatch...yes i know this isnt the ef forum but i have an eg and didnt feel like going over there. i was wondering bc his axles keep coming out of the tranny on the passenger side...he has a 1991 std hatch with a dohc zc swap with 89 integra axles.....any help is aprreciciated it getting annoying driving and then his car just starts revving up...thanx alot

yeah they are in all the way...we were going down the highway then it started to rev up he thought he blew the tranny.....now he has to get a new tranny bc the inside is all eaten up....

 

look on the very end of the axle that slides into the tranny for the locking clip. its a round open clip that has a seat. make sure its there.

 

it is there......i dont know how this stuff happens......now he has to pay out of his pocket....does anyone know why this happened......thanx

 

Also if the axle popped out, I would be willing to bet that at the very end of the axle there are teeth that are probably all chewed up. That will keep from getting the axle all the way in, and you need the clip to keep it in.
If the teeth are jacked, don't worry. just clean them up with a file.

 

he go tnew axles everytime this has happened...this is the 3rd time
