Does anyone know the specs of the non-vtec lobes on stock ITR cams and the Skunk2 Stage 2?

 

Anyone? I need to know if there is a differance in duration (to lower compression)

Duration helps lower dynamic compression

 

i don't think many people give a rats *** about the primary lobes... i have a 01 intake ITR cam sitting here, that i'm getting around to mapping the lobes iwth a dial indicator to finally settle the 01 - pre 99 cam difference. if this is something vitally important to you, i can waste some additional time on primary lobes in addition to vtec lobes.

The reason I would like to know is, as I said, to see if it would affect the compression any. I get detonation at lower RPMs (not in VTEC).

Duration alone doesnt affect compression, OVERLAP does.
Only cams like toda B&C are going to have significant overlap on the
pri/sec lobes. Hence the low vacuum idle.

All the cams YOU want are weak down low hence stock idle(no overlap)

 

Well that sucks
