just got my motor rebuilt eagles rods, weseco pistons with stock head just got it resurfaced and the valves reseated. i just got the done getting the motor pretty much put together and when i try to align everything up it want got top dead center. the valves are hitting the pistons it sounds. i know for sure i put the pistons in right. the head seems to be done right. i think the timing belt im putting back on might be stretch out from when my bro had it on his ls turbo. thats pretty much all i can think it can be.

Did you clay the pistons to check the clearances?

 

take off the t-belt, set the cams so the gears have TOP pointing up and then turn your crank the TDC, re-install belt

 

i did all that and it still want want get tdc. when i line the cams up and crank up . the belt dont fit onto the teeth right.im using the tensioner .

 

buy a new belt
