<------ needs to get his R back on some scales after some minor weight reduction...

The car was completely stripped, and acid dipped iirc, then every removable panel is paper thin fiber glass and anything that could be replaced with CF or something lighter was. IE went to 4 lug for weight savings alone etc.
I don't remember if it was even classed here in the states. The car is still in Japan now but I'm not sure what series it is legal for.
PM rodney, I think he knows all the specifics. Or maybe even use the link in my sig to ATS USA and shoot Yasu an Email and ask him about it.

an rs is the lightest teg out there.....or was he misinformed?</TD></TR></TABLE>
That's an interesting question.
The ITR's motor is the heaviest of all the Integra/Civic B-motors, and performance parts are usually beefier and heavier. However, the RS wasn't put on the same kind of diet (insulation etc) that the ITR was. I'm curious now.

DC 1998 Acura Integra RS Coupe MT 2526
DC 1998 Acura Integra Type-R MT 2577
Barely a difference. Considering the R does have the LSD, extra tweeters, different seats, a lip, rear spoiler, front upper/rear upper/lower and truck stiffening bars, thicker sways, larger 5-lug brakes...and extra stickers.

I'd be a little more trusting of the information coming from a site that lists both auto and manual, and all the Hondas and Acuras from 1985 to 2003 as well as specifying coupe, sedan and hatchback, than a site from a guy that comes on here asking US questions.
BTW mine weiged in at 2700 with me in it on calibrated 4 corner scales, I weigh 135 lbs approximately. Car is bone stock, so thats only 7 lbs off (fuel is another factor as well), which could have been the difference of -1.5lbs per corner for for 1.5lbs lighter wheels (15x7 Esses 058, 14 lbs wheels) I had on (that comes to about 6lbs total).

My bud kendall had EVERYTHING almost that you could take outta an R, including wiring.
Even went as far as putting a 1.5 in the car.
I can say that i have driven one of the lightest full street R's ever
I abused that car while i had it. I even had some strobe lights hooked up to a battery on the interior riding around pulling the ebrake!
