i'm looking for some reviews of the MOMO Cup seat. i'm interested in fit for a short legged 5'9" 160lb person in my EG, how well it wears, how much it weighs, etc. comparisons to Sparco EVO would be ideal since i've sat in that seat before. any feedback would be appreciated though. also, does anyone know the difference between the Cup and the Cup GT? searched but only found seats for sale. (like 6 threads from the same guy )

I have a momo cup, and love it. Don't know how much it weighs, but I know it fits me (5'6" 185ish) and my wife (5'8" 150ish) both quite well.

The only difference I know of between the Cup and Cup GT is the colored crap on the shoulder supports.

As a comparison, I came from a 17 inch (I think) Kirkey, and the Cup is MUCH more comfortable.

 

Just buy a Kirkey like all of the other STS "daily" drivers, lol.

the cup gt has some sort of suede on the shoulder supports, and a different thread pattern on the seatback. that's it. i can't attest to how it wears as i've only had it a month or so, but i've sat in a sparco evo L, and the cup has a wee bit more room. i'm 6' and 180, it fits nicely.
as far as weight goes, i think it's around 13 lbs.

ltbmotorsports.com had the cheapest price i could find, at $424.00 ( for the cup)
i paid 480-something for the cup gt.

 

nate, I have raced in both of these seats (Cup and Cup GT) and highly recommend them. Like Bowie, I went from a Kirkey and never looked back. I also own a pair of Sparco Ultras in my street car. I think the Momos are more comfortable for my build (sounds like somewhere between you and Bowie) as the Sparcos (my Sparcos at least, perhaps the Evo is cut different) seem to be for a more lankey body type. As for the differences, holding mine side by side, IF there is any width difference in the GT, its very minor.

I too recommend LTB Motorsports - that's where I got both of mine.

artifex - the sparco evo L, that's the large version from a couple years back, right? basically the same seat as the current evo 2?

can anyone else directly compare the momo cup with the current sparco evo? it almost sounds like the momo cup is a little wider then the evo, which is already a tiny bit wider then i'd like. does anyone know of a reseller in MA that would have both on display so i could sit in them? maybe HMS?

We are a new dealer for MOMO so I really can't comment from personal experience on the fit and finish. I can say that MOMO has a great reputation for quality here and abroad.
