Default H22 Decisions

My setup so far with my jdm h22a is:

CM Flywheel
J's Replica Intake
Greddy/Trust Header with IB Spec 2.5 collector
60mm Apexi Catback
p72/s200 on basemap for now

im trying to decide whether to go for a set of the rm cams and possibly a euro-r or jg intake mani.....or to sell the current header and get an smsp....

after seeing the dynos with smsp headers im really impressed, and i would rather not have to open the engine at all for now.....

what do you guys think about gains from switching to the smsp and tuning it of course.....anything more than like 10whp....

basically its a decision between $900 to switch headers or $900 to get the cams and IM.....

i have not dynoed yet so i really dont know how this header is doing, but it seems to do pretty well.....

I bet you'll gain more with IM and cams, since you have a decent header with 2.5" collector already. But did you figure valvetrane and a new throttle body into that price, because I bet it'll more than $900. I want one of those smsp headers too, but I'm waiting for someone to blow up their ****, because I just can't justify $900 on a header alone. The numbers are really impressive though.

yeah $900 is a low estimate for the cam/vt and im/tb setup, it will be a lot more....probably about 1100 for that stuff....

but the smsp is 1200 bucks, im just saying 900 becuase i can sell this header for about 350 im thinking...then 50 for ship on the sms.....

i could see that i would gain more with the cams/vt, but it will cost a good bit more.....and as always, its easier to put a header on than cams and an IM....and if i can make the power without cams, then just imagine with them.....

jeff at import builders put down 230whp and 180lbs of tq with his Super Duper intake, his IB spec h22 manifold (modified stocker), a 3 angle valve job, type s pistons, and an smsp header.....if i can put down those kinda numbers without cams, with some jun cams in there i would look for 250 whp, and that would be sick.....
