Default ecu question

i was wondering if i could use a p2t 99-00 ecu for my mini-me swap.
i am swapping a y8 head on my y7 block. this is all going into a obdIIB DX hatch. i know that i can use a 02p ecu from a 99-00 civic. but right now i can get my hands on a p2t ecu for a good price. any info will help.

i have done a search but i cant really find anything on it.

thanks

Default Re: ecu question (azn6915)

does the Y7 block have a knock sensor?the P2t will look for that, and throw a code if it's not there.
also, the P2t maps are not close to ideal for that motor,as well as having a rev limiter that is high enough that you will most likely see your engine blow before reaching it.
the EX ECU is what you need.

yea i was thinking about the rev limiter being that high would cause a problem.

thanks for the info.
