Okay, well i was driving monday and my car died. Wouldnt start, so i narrowed it down the dizzy, installed a new ignitier, Nope..Then i just decided to get an entire new Dizzy. Just incase the old one had an internal problem beyond repair. I just installed the new one and YAY, my car cranked up. But now the check engine light is on, and before, this was never on. What could be my problem? Any suggestions.

i did reset it..still on when i drive. Also the CEL never came on when i broke down too. But now with a new dist. its on constantly when i drive.
dont know what to do.
dont know what to do.
Go to a auto parts store and have them pull the code. There is no way the CEL can be on and the ECU not tell you which code it is.
Its just hard to help fix a problem, when you need to know why the ECU is freaking out....and the code is the key to fixing it.

that messed.... the dizzy can only install one way and still spin.... is to too far advanced or retarded maybe? I couldn't see how you're getting that code unless the new Distributor is screwed up..... Sorry i can't find much info..
TDC Sensor (Top Dead Center)
defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor
its gotta be a bad unit, or just bad timing and a sensor somehwere else killed itself.... im assuming the dizzy you got has a warranty? take it back and grab another
