If you want to know step by step instuctions and every little tiny piece u would need, you need to get ahold of sport compact car (the magazine) and purchase the back issue november 2003, its volume 15, number 11. the car they used is even the exact car u have a 96 accord lx

There is an inherant problem with the auto tensioner giving slack. Especially when running high lift cams. I would recommend converting to the H23 manual tensioner. Easy conversion and works great using factory honda parts.
Good luck.
Good luck.
so im guessing this is a problem on all H22s, including stock preludes. Cuz i know plenty of ludes who havent done this conversion and they have no problems at all. Or is it just a problem with accord H22 swaps?
i swapped and still use an Auto-Tensioner, works great, in have no worries, if you are swapping a JDM h22 don't buy the ultimate swap guide
gave me no luck....doesn't tell you a whole lot about the wiring harness, and how you convert it yourself for a left hand drive vehicle.
You'll need Motor, Wiring Harness, Downpipe, you can use the accord halfshaft and use your existing axles. you'll wanna replace all the major seals and gaskets, fluids etc...you'll also want to make sure your motor comes with the prelude Power steering pump. and the majority of the prelude motor mounts. you'll wanna replace the plugs and wires. get it from a reputable shop, if your doing it yourself do a lot of research first, write down everything you have to do step by step....mine only took a week, but i was working with someone with experience. It would have taken a month otherwise. goodluck, if you have any more questions i'd be happy to help address them, pm an e-mail address, and i'll reply to all your questions.
