NOPE! The new 05 S is as close as it's going to get, next year if the RSX is still available maybe the helical slip will be included.

Heh...they figured we'd be happy enough with the RSX Type-S. Technically, they would have to release the integra (and drop the RSX) in order for us to have the Type-R, and you know that aint going to happen, just like we'll never get the CTR either.

i don't see it being released due to price. right now the RSX-S with Aspec hovers past 26k. Now bring in the RSX-R, you are talking 27-28k maybe more. For that price, there is alot more out there

price is not holding back the R from coming here. Consider there are 5 of these threads a day so I am sure honda/acura owner will pay. No more "when do we get the ctr or dc5r", do a search

i'm pretty sure that if ever they make a usdm dc5r it will be watered down just like the dc2r. it will probably never get here due to emission regulations being different than japan and all that bs.

I can end this, i work for an Acura Dealer and the DC5-R = Never, not going to happen Acura is more worried about the TL RL TSX MDX they dont give a rats *** about the kids right now because RSX sales are not very good at all right now

not for anything, but a dealership would be the LAST place to get detailed info on something like this. now if you worked for Honda America or something, then the info might be more valid.
but, i do agree, i don't think we'll ever see the dc5r, and the 05-s will probably be the closest you'll get.

sales on the crx were thru the roof too but they stopped that...it doesnt matter on the sales THAT much because they know when they come out with something new that it will sell too. I hope something does come out instead of another rsx. look at the intrepid and alot of other 4 door sedans, they got CRUSHED by that new chrysler 300 because its only 25k, hemi and its really nice. so now the prices drop on the other cars in order to play ball.
see if they bring something new out, that is a fair price maybe a tiny cheaper then the rsx now, what do u thinks gonna happen for the old rsx? the price is gonna drop alot more making it more affordable for me
...believe it or not the acura and honda are in competition! ofcourse here they are atleast so when that new civic si comes out im guessing around 20k that is gonna drop the price of the 200hp rsx alot because who wants to pay 23k for a used 2004 200hp rsx when they can get a BRAND NEW 2006 civic si that performs just as well?

Currently the 05-S is the closest. The 06-07 is rumored to get 5more hp and a LSD, so then that will be the closest. I think after that the RSX is done and Acura will only make luxuary cars.

i've heard that as well. actually, i just heard about the LSD, not about the HP bump, but either way, it would make it pretty damn close to the type-r.
