Default is flex pipe gonna be bad??

i just ordered exhaust piping and a test pipe off of kteller.com, there is nothing messing up my air flow at all... it comes out of the header, through the test pipe, and there is no resonator. the only problem is i need to make an adapter to make the three flange test pipe fit the two flange header, i have one of those small 5 inch or so pieces of flex pipe that i can use, but will that little bit of non smooth pipe mess up the flow, because the rest of the system is perfectly smooth???

i understand that is just a small non important piece of the exhaust, but if i have this system that has nothing to change the flow of the exhaust, i dont want to mess it up with just that little piece......

who ever told u a flex pipe is a non important piece in teh exhaust is not educated.

having no flex pipe between the header and the rest of the exhuast is asking for a cracked welded down the road

eh depending on how stiff ur mounts are etc, you may get away with it, but for long term, its a good idea to have a flex pipe, or atleast a donut gasket
