hey guyz I have a built b18c1 engine in my ek and the motor has been broken in properly at 3000 miles and i get alot of blueish/white smoke from my tail pipe any ideas?
the car runs great but its the smoke that bothers me.
b18c1 with full port/polish gsr head and the block is sleeved 84mm with cp 9:0:1 pistons on eagle rods.its built for turbo but im not running the turbo until itll stop smoking.

 

it means your burning oil or oil and coolant

black is runnign too much
white is coolant
blue is oil

 

headgasket?

 

i checked the oil and the coolant looks good not over heating and for the gasket is new
too cometic brand.

 

did you do a compression and leakdown test?

 

when does it smoke

when you hit vtec ??
or when the car starts up?

 

comp was 180-180-185 and 179 on number 1 i think?
didnt do leak down yet though. o one more thing im getting oil coming out of my exhaust ports too andy ideas? thankz!

 

its smokes when i accelerate so anytime i hit the gas. but its not big thick clouds though just enough to see through the rear view mirror.

does it smoke as soon as you start it up after sitting for few hours? And then it goes away after it warms up idleing?

And smokes really bad once you get on it?
then it's prolly your vavle seals. You compression seems fine so I don't think anything is blown.

 

yea smokes on startup but goes away for awhile until i gas it.

 

yeah it's prolly your valve seals. who worked on your head and what exactly did they do?

 

the block was professionaly build but the head i let some cheap vietnamese mechanic do it thats probably why. i think im gonna pull the head out tomarrow and take to my friends machine shop. thanks guyz!
