Default Si tranny on a Gsr

I was wonderin if Si tranny would work good on a Gsr motor and if there would be any problems or lack of performance...

it will work wonders on a gsr. the only thing is that when you are crusing, the RPM will be high....but you got to love the short gears

a b16 transmission would be a perfect upgrade from the gsr. Since it has shorter gears, you will be at a higher rpm approximately 4200 instead of 3900 in 5th gear at cruising speeds (80 mph). If money is not an issue, I would atleast look into an itr transmission because it has the LSD.

don't forget the final too.

u will definately feel a difference in acceleration. If you decide to get a B16 tranny make sure u try and get an LSD on there before u put it on and it'll be cheaper than getting an ITR tranny. It'll save u time/money if u plan on doing that later.

yeah, well he'll have the 4.40 R version, a 4.785 final drive would deff be a great upgrade...
