noob has q's
Hi, I'm new to the forums, and yes I did a search prior to posting. I am aquiring a first gen CRX w/ the carb. motor very inexpensively, and wanted to know what were popular motor swaps for these. I don't think 70hp is gonna do it for me (even in an 1800lb car). I figure that the ECU would have to be swapped since I would want a FI motor. A buddy of mine has a D16Z6? (SOHC vtec motor and tranny from a '94 Si Coupe), and I wanted to know what kinds of things I would need besides the motor to do a swap (things like motor mount adapters, harness, etc...) Also I was wondering if things like body kits, headlights, and tailights from a 2g would fit a 1g. Any other useful information for a noob would also be greatly appriciated. Thanks!
dont forget the d16a1 non vtec dohc uses the same engine mounts you already have, you just need the axles and knuckles and some other parts to make it work.
that engine comes from an 86-89 integra, its really mean in a light first gen.
you may need the fuel tank and lines from an SI model crx to make certain engines work, check on that redpepperracing site for people who know much more then me, just trying to give you some ideas.

Thanks for the help guys. Keep the ideas coming, researching this stuff is helping me learn a lot about it very quickly. Oh, and thanks for being friendly. I know it sounds stupid, but when I'm new to a forum and ask a question, I always get a bunch of dicks who aren't helpful at all. Thanks again.
