Default Coilovers

I was planning to get some coilovers, and I asked my friend about them, he said it is bad to just get coilovers with stock struts, is that true? I just wanted to drop the car a little bit, and what about lowering springs?

if you shop around you could get KYB AGX shocks and Eibach springs for 500$ and depending on the spring you could drop it around 2 inches I think.

I would replace both. While you are taking everything apart, you might as well replace both.

How many miles do you have on the car? If you have a lot of miles, then you will be happy with new springs and shocks.

Learn from other peoples mistakes .. dont get coil-overs without stiffer shocks! IF you cant afford them .. look for some used. I have a used set of Tokico Illuminas im looking to get rid of.

I got a set of Omni Coilovers... seriously.. no wheel gap..
When i got them installed... the shop had the car slammed.. two fingers wheel gap..
As much as i liked it.. it was way too low.. so i uped it like 1/2 inch to three fingers gap..

The ride is a bit stiffer.. but managable.. Feel all the vibrations on the road..
Can't complain about the price though...

What year accord do you have? I was looking into getting a set for my 6th gen sedan, but I'd prefer not to have any wheel gap, tuck if anything.

Sorry for being OT.
