Default Drag Car + Insurance Q?

For those of you who have a strictly "drag" car that doesn't see any time on the road, what do you do for insurance, do you even bother having any? I've heard that insurance co.'s won't pay for accidents at the track, and I totally understand where they're coming from if this is true. Are there specialty companies that will insure your car, I couldn't imagine what you'd pay per month for it but is it out there?

so what was your monthly payment or was it $785? That is very pricey but I guess since your going 100+ mph down a track w/ someone right next to you doing the same then it would surely pay off if something happend. I always get uneasy when seeing an FWD vs RWD because I've seen too many videos where the RWD looses contoll and crosses lanes or w/e. Nice to know ther is somesone out there that will insure "us".

That's actually a really good price, what does the 2k cover or what did you have it covering. I know a trailer, tools, and your car can be much over 2k but did you just have it for IF something went wrong?

$785 per year, a race car will get to race about 7months outta the year.
so thats 112.14 per month.. if the car saw 1 race per month with an average 6 runs per race you end up paying 18.69 for every pass you make.. not worth it imo... plus the 2k deductable...

thats exactly why i took it when you park your trailer at the hotels and stuff anythign can happen. People can break into your truck and trailer. 2k is easily gone with just the ecu in most cars.

2K is pocket money, considering the $$$$ we dump into our cars. specially if you have something happen to you, while you're on the road. have you guys ever seen an accident involving a vehicle towing a car trailer, or any other trailer for that sake. 99% of the times, both the trailer and the tow vehicle are totaled!

i think esurance told me that they would cover my car on the weekend on the way to the track.. on the way back.. ( towed of course) and then covered me while pitted at the track but not when im racing..

i didnt bother getting a price.. it wasnt worth it for me, but for some that maybe what they are looking for
