I don't think the dohc zc head will fit on the d15b2 block without a ton of machine and custom fabrication work. Why not just swap in the entire zc?? Just a thought.

the zc swap does not require the changing of any motor mounts. You can use your stock ones.

I'm no Civic/CRX expert, but what i've learned from the accords is there is no way you can put a dohc head on a sohc block. Well, anything is possible but i'd be hella cheaper to just swap the whole motor.

The Older TEG motor is a Olive color 1st Gen ZC and has only 113 Hp, Get the Black Cover ZC it has 130-133 depending on souces. Bolts right in, if you have a HF or SI the wiring fits too. DX is a biit more of a bitch. I am in the middle of a 2g ZC into a '89 DX hatch. Wiring is on workbench ready to be modified. Bolts right up to the stock 5-speed, stock mounts fit too. I had clearance problems with the A/C compresssor but nothing a sledge hammer can't fix. Stay away from the older TEG motor not enough power to be worth the work.

DX wiring isnt too difficult man. My only problem was getting a pin in at B15, but once I got that in my car was set. I love my ZC in my DX. Wish I woulda had money to get the SI tranny at the time.. Thats my next thing, a SI tranny.

For the most part a new head will cost you as much as a used DOHC ZC. I'm cracked my head in my D16 so i then bought a ZC. It was cheaper and I did the install with a friend helping me in about 10 hours.

A question? I picked up what I was told were resister packs from a local yard, it has 4 black wires and one red one if I remember right. Does this sound right to you. This is a really stupid question once you have ever seen one but I haven't. I have one that is like a big heat sink from an Integra, and a dumb looking one from a Civic SI, which inside the metal can has a ceramic block with the same color wires as the other one coming out of it. THis is my first honda and my first Non-american engine swap. Car was a non runner when I aquired it.

are you talkin about an injector resistor box? If you are and you have a dx that is one of the parts you need to convert it from dpfi to MPFI. Im not sure about the wire colors but it looks kinda like what u are describing. Some one correct me if im wrong.
