Default B16, D16?????

what is the difference between the B16A2 and the D16A2?? is it just the year that they were made?

big difference.

for starters, one is SOHC and one is DOHC.

lol well, i was a bit confused. The markings under the hood on my eg6 say it is a B16A2, but my vechle registration documents say its is D16A2. and it definately is DOHC

Check the VIN on the engine if you can find the number. Then compare the number to the other Vehicle Identification Number(VIN)s in the car.
