Default PCV on a '99 EX sedan, 49 state emissions???

When I look in the application books at my local autoparts stores it lists a PCV for my girls '99 EX sedan with manual tranny, 49 state emissions. But I CAN"T FIND IT, and the Haynes says there is only one in the DOHC engines??? What gives??

If I understand you correctly

The PCV is under the intake near the oil filter. If your looking to replace it, it is easiest to do when you have the oil filter off. It plugs into the black breather box, then the hose goes thru the intake then under/thru the wires for the Fuel injectors and into the intake.

You have got to be kidding the PCV is UNDER the Intake Manifold!! I have never seen or had a car where the PCV was hard to get to as that!! I will replace it at the next oil change thanks. How hard is it to reach from under the car while doing a oil change with the oil filter off?

Its just a couple inches above the oil filter - sticking out of the black box that is attatched to the block.

Its a piece of cake with the oil filter off.

I took the PCV valve out of the black breather box then left it connected to the hose. Then pull the hose from between the intake runners topside of the engine and pull the PCV valve out while on top of the engine. Then crawl back under and plug the PCV back into the box.

If you tried to do all the work from under the car it would be a PITA to get the PCV out of the hose.

Default PCV Replacement

OK, so you attach the NEW PCV to the hose betwwen the intake runners FIRST. How do you get the hose OFF the old PCV? Then with the new PCV dangling from the hose you go under the car and push it into the black box obove the oil filter? Thanks for the help flood!
