Weird Clicking Noise Only When Braking Softly!! Not Bad Axle So Dunno...

Hey everyone, I got a 96 Ej8 Coupe Ex and I noticed yesterday that when i would brake softly i would start hearing a loud clicking noise which seems to be coming from the driver side wheel. I have no idea what it indeed could be because I recently replaced the axles on both sides and have had no problems since. Both axles are good and I have no idea why it would make this noise... Its very annoying and it only seems to stop either when im not braking at all or when im braking hard. It never seems to make noise when i turn or accelerate or just cruise. Its very weird... Yet, also the same day when this began to happen I noticed my idle got very very low and my car is idling now at around 200 rpms and feels like it wants to die when i brake at a red light,etc. Its weird. Im guessing maybe a vacuum leak or somethin I dunno...
Any suggestions? Ideas? Thanks everyone
