Default Anyone coming to our autocross on Saturday and/or Sunday - Susquehanna Region?

The event is at the Giant's Center at Hershey Park - Hershey, PA. Right outside of Harrisburg, about 30 minutes north or York, about 1.5 hours from Philly, and 30 minutes west of Lancaster. The lot is HUGE! The one course we setup was around 70-80 seconds long. I'm hoping for the same treat. We have several novice instructors at the event. And you can SMELL the chocolate from where we stand

This will be my 1st event as Autocross Chief. Should prove interesting

You are allowed to do walk up registration.

$30 to register the day of the event. Registration and tech will be open in the morning and lunch time but will be "available" up to the start of the third heat.

Worker assignments is first come first serve. When you arrive at the event you need to go to the registration tent to check in and to get your worker's assignment. You need to work in order to run. You may pick any heat to work except the heat you run (of course).

Suggested arrival time: 7:30am
Registration & Tech opens: 8am
Novice Walk-throughs between 9:00-9:15am
Driver's meeting: 9:15am
First car off: 9:30am
Registration & Tech closes: end of 3rd heat

I'll be in the instructor's seat on Saturday with South Jersey Region @ Atco NJ. They are holding a test and tune (slash) novice school before an autocross on Sunday.

I just bought myself an intercom system, I think it's called "talk box" or something from OG Racing. Looking forward to trying it out.

Good luck as autocross chief.

Great course Mike. Had a blast driving it.

First event my parents attended, they had a great time. Hope to have them attend more events in the future.

Mike you may want to verify the Sunday results. I looked and unless Mr. Alessi in GS is not John Alessi but French F1 driver Jean Alesi that second time of 28.035 seems like an equipment glitch. His other times are in the 50s and then one in 28s.

Just thought I'd give you a headsup, I missed Sunday because my brother and I ended up getting sick.

Great event Mike. I had a blast! Plus it's nice to kick STS's butt in PAX. I couldn't believe how fast the course was. Ken did a great job on the design. Banging off the rev limiter in 2nd 2/3 of the way through the slalom was a hoot.

Congrats Mike.

As much as I would llike to take responsibility for the course design I didn't design it. Our 1st time Solo Chief designed the course. He is a road racer by heart and it was definitely a road course type autocross.

Yes I mentioned the timing error to our system admin. Unless he strapped on a twin turbo there is no way a GS car went 15 seconds faster than a BM car Hopefully it will be fixed today.

I'm getting closer to top 5 in PAX finally Last year I think the highest I placed in PAX was 19th? This year I've gotten a couple of 9th places and now 6th place

I still can't believe how fast both days were. 3rd gear in a slalom!! That's nuts

I'll get you my pretty :D

Here are some vids (about 45mb):

Having trouble figuring out my ftp server

I was posting in reference to emwavey's post about the south jersey school. I had a blast though for my first time. I would like to get out to either Hershey or Park City sometime this year (I spend a lot of time in York, and Lancaster isn't too far for me).

Oh my car is red.

My car will soon start to come along. Chris is expecting my suspension to come in HOPEFULLY next weekend.

I am ordering headers tonight
putting on new oilpan when I put the headers on.
Also doing two new axles up front.

once the suspension goes on though, i will bring it out.

It'll be fun watching Louie, Lee, Simmons, Buckley and Ridgick battle for STS this year. It should prove to be something that will improve all of you as drivers. Competition ROCKS! I only have to worry about Al, Jim and John this year locally in DS. Hope you guys like 2nd place in PAX.

3 hours? That't nothing

Well it's too late anyway since it was LAST WEEKEND. Our next Hershey event is in October.

Well too bad I have been running in PRO under the STU index there Dave. My Honda isn't ready to race yet. I have been driving my friend Jason's STi.

First philly event was 1st in PAX, this Sunday's philly event was 2nd in PAX with running on a drying coarse. Frank took first on a dry 2nd heat coarse. Mike will tell ya that it didn't get wet until after 1st runs of the 3rd heat. PRO class ran 4th heat.

Tom

Yeah three hours is nothing, my drive was 4 hrs. I think your drive to Cumberland last year was a bit longer.

Yeah but the course started drying for you guys in the 4th heat. You could make out the holographic dry areas you guys were running

I think this is the worse I've done in PAX so far this year. 15th UGH!
