minime guys.. or anyone for that matter..
Well, as some of you know i completed my minime swap this summer.. heres the case, my old engine was pretty strong with a jg 301 cam, prospeed ecu, i/e. Now i have a minime setup, but other than a more tractable low end, and that cool vtec sound. it feels the same... its a cranky motor, and oil leaks like crazy (i have to add a quart of oil every week) I just bought another d16a with lesser miles and a better clutch.. now i need opinions.. the motor comes with a p/p head, milled .38, and i think mild cam. would that be good enough.. or should i do another minime?? any opinions? also, how does a 6 puck, dual diaghpram clutch ride??

do the mini me w/ a odb0-0db1 conversion (including injectors, 02, dist, and ecu). get your p28 ecu reprogrammed. that will make you happy and no oil leaks. when you do it use the extra motor you have and build it up a bit... or atleast refrepoo poo w/ rings and bearings ect..... act clutch is allways nice too. you can get them for 250 or less.

So i should so another minime?? I mean, its cool and all having vtec, but it wasnt that much of a power difference, it was like having a perfomance cam. I think the non Vtec motor felt strong enough.. Does anyone know of any good sites with How To's for swaps??
I would build another mini-me. In the process try getting an aftermarket cam for the Vtec head. Should make a good difference. You can find them used online for pretty cheap. I found some for $100-150. Try thepartstrader.com
