Default OT: The death of the Nissan Skyline GT-R....

I was reading one of my favorite websites....and read the news section...Basically, due to some sort of emission regulations in Japan, Nissan decided to stop producing the Skyline. I am not sure this story is true. Can anyone disprove this?

I am going to have to call B.S. on this one... I do not know for sure of course, but it just doesn't make sense to me, I thought they already announced the R-35?

I've establish a link from H.K. of continues subscriptions of Best Motoring VCDs throughout the year. Only those guy's intelligence and perspectives are worthy to believe. Nissan already spend tons of money for the new R35 Skyline, they will not give up the project...afterall it's still the 1st or 2nd fastest production car in Japan.

Probably BS.

I still would like to beat to a pulp all the marketing execs at Nissan of America for giving us a bastartised Silvia with the freaking KA truck engine and not bringing over the S15, which is IMHO the best looking Silvia to date.

Supra is THE slowest to my knowledge.
The new RX7 is actually somewhere up there now that it has the full 280ps.
Last I checked the NSX was No.1

I meant it on a road-course vs other stock JDM super cars.
The top dogs are the R34 GTR, Evo(s), and NSX Type-Zero/S...and FD Type RZ

Evo and GTR always grab the wins.

this is nothing new. there was always skylines and GT-R's. skyline's are also sedans and coupes with smaller, single turbo engines (GT-S).

The last Skyline GTR34 is the GTR34 Mspec which there only doing 50 models this yr. After that the names is just going to be simply GTR or GTR35 plan and simple.
They say sometime this yr they will have concept verison thats close to production soon. The rest of skylines will just be more sedan and lux laid back style.
Even though the GTS was just the single turbo 260+hp verison it still was fast and pretty easy to make into GTR34 with the right parts easy.

Yeap thats the M-spec. A guy in the UK already has one and it was already tested in some mags there. I think it be nice to have one of the last 50 of the M-specs.
The price on it is around 55 grand USD depending on options as there plenty as with all Skylines.

So why doesn't Nissan get rid of the New UGLY 350Z and rebrand the Skyline? It's 10x they sports car the Z will ever be!
350Z

Skyline

So what was this exhaust problem they claim? I don't see any problem with it.
