Default cryo treating the crank and cams?

i am currently building my engine to handle higher boost. i am wondering if it is wise to cryo treat the crank. i got a quote to do it for only $80. reason why i am asking is because i dont know if it is suppose to expand in heat or not for the rod bearings to work properly. and i dont know if cryo treating it would affect the expansion of the metal in heat. i am also considering doing the cams also. i have the crower stage 2 turbo cams. i am skeptical on this because i know you have to do valve adjustments when the engine is cold so i know parts of the engine works more efficent with heat. Also does cryo treating affect the metal's original size? if it shrinks or expands from its original size.

I'm not sure what cryo treating does to crank journals... Might be a great idea for the rods.

yes. i did think of that do but the same question remains if it alters the actual physical shape or not and does it affect expansion of metal in heat.

Get the crank micropolished and the rods cryo-treated. That's all you'll need and even that much might be overkill.

Not to hijack this thread, but has anyone cryo-treated a set of piston rings?

I was going to do it (its dirt cheap) but I couldn't get an answer from anyone as to whether it would alter the ring break-in in any way. Thoughts?
