obd II sohc vtec ecu question?
my buddy has a 96 cx hatch and is swapping a d16y from a 99
does he need a 96-98 sohc ecu or can he use the one that comes wit (the 99)
i didnt think so just but just want to make sure

well i belive that isn't a vtec motor and u will need a non-vtec ecu the vtec ecu for 96-98 is p2p i beleive ..... and also u said u want to use a 99 ecu can't do that cuz he has a 96-98 harness which is a like 3 plug ecu and the 99-00 is a 2 plug ecu .........

the motor he has is from and el (only in canada)and the motor is a sohc vtec
he has the wiring harness from the 99
