Default clutch/tranny noises?

hi i was wonder if any one could help me see what is wrong with my car, every tie i step on the clutch theres is this loud chattering and you can feel it trought the clutch pedal. This only happens when you step on the clutch. TIA

Probably want to fix it asap, but if you've been driving on it, it might be okay.

I had a similar problem, i'd get a wooshing sound when I pressed my clutch in, and it ended up being an improperly adjusted clutch pedal. I was actually pressing my throwout bearing into my clutch disc. Try adjusting your clutch pedal out a bit and see if that solves your problem.

yeah man mine does the same thing but only within my first 8-12 shifts off a cold engine. Im trying to find out what it is

how would you adjust the clutch pedal, i also asked my dad check it out and he said that somethign broke

i think that it is your throw out bearing, man i would take it apart and check it out b4 you really **** something up. but i had the same problem and i am having my whole **** taken apart while i do my swap for my ls/vtec so i know when i put back together i will have no problems with it. hope you fig it out

Locknut C...step 2...move the rod farther out so you don't push the throwout bearing so far in.

My guess is its a bad TOB, but you can try adjusting the clutch.

so i would go couter clockwise to push it out further correct?

I honestly can't remember, you'll figure it out though once you get that nut loosened.

didn't work sounds the same doesnt sound any better sound like some broken peice is in there, kinda like when you stick a plastic bottle cap in a fan when you step on the clutch

i have an idea, check inside the engine bay, follow where the hard lines go into the tranny for the clutch, if its a d series engine ( not sure what B series looks like) anwyay theres this rubber cover that covers the tranny, open it up, get some grease and rub some inside while having someone pushing on the clutch inside

decided to replace throw out bearing and and clutch upon taking out the clutch the springs in side the clutch disc fell out and thats what the sound seems to be coming from
