Default o2 sensor question, need help quick

Hello,
Ive got a little bit of a problem that needs some advice. I installed a greddy evo2 cat back and test pipe onto my 99 ex awhile back, and have just been living with my cel light on, but im selling the whole system and today I put my original exhaust on and I am still getting the code. Also, I did disconnect the battery, and let it sit for awhile to see if it would reset the ecu. Did the whole 3 times turn the key to on position and it didnt work. Also, I was driving for awhile with just headers, and the o2 sensor came loose from where I had fastened it and is banged up pretty good, i mean the actual sensor part of it is kinda bent and stuff. Im assuming this is my source of my cel, seeing as nothing else has been changed. I was wondering, if I buy a new one off of hondaautomotiveparts.com or something, its going to be like $188, if I do order this, how do I go about installing it? Do I just have to snip the wires and solder the new one on or what? I tried to get a o2 sim to install, but couldnt figure out where to plug the thing in. Thank you!

Also, if somebody could point me in the direction of a good place to buy the plug and play type, I would appreciate it, im not looking to spend 200 bucks though, so I may just have to do some soldering huh? Thanks!

Im wanting to order tonight, that is why im in such a hurry.

for sim install, look down in my sig

a plug and play o2 sensor is pretty expensive.

if you get one that needs wired, do not cut all wires. do it one at a time and line them up so they match so there will definately be no problems.

So would like a universal one work do you think? I will need to solder correct? and then heat wrap or something? I dont have a soldering gun, but i can buy one cheap somewhere around here probably. so solder on types are ok? And also, how do I know which wires go where? Just color of the wire? Do you know of some good websites to order from? I seem to be having problems finding one for a 99 ex, but one made for a 96-00 ex should be fine right? They all have d16y8's right?

you should have a 4 wire o2 sensor. if so, any 4 wire o2 sensor from 96-00 civic will work.

cheapest ive found them. think it needs no wiring but just in case i can help with that

That is for the front o2 sensor, I found one that requires wiring, but was only like 67 bucks. Heres a link: http://www.oxygensensorwholesa....html
The one on top is the one I bought, I should just be able to solder the correct wires together correct? What is the extra stuff in that pic? any idea?

Alright, well thanks for the help everybody. I ordered the one from wholesaleoxygensensors that I posted the link too. I guess ill buy myself a solder gun and some solder and get it done. Would it be awful to not cover up the connections that I solder? Probably HuH?

not necessary to solder. electircal connectors will work fine. just tape them up and keep the ruuber cover that is on there now on there with new one.

any questions, pm me

if this is the o2 sensor in the cat like i think it is, there is a rubber piece that must stay on the wires. make sure you dont take it off then wire it.
and if possible, when you cut the wires to rewire it, try to keep cuts above this rubber piece but leave enough wire to work with so they stay dry and inside your car for no worries
