straight piped anybody? planning to boost on a b18b built block... lose the low end to gain high? or just leave my cat conv. in? what set ups you people have?

 

Straight 3" from the front to the back. Apexi N1 cannister with 3" 12" flexpipe. That's about the same set-up I run on all of my cars.

those of you who run a straight, is there a significant gain or loss or power? the muffler shop i go to is a jack but they do good work... so trying to save myself a second trip.

I'm running the stock vtec exhaust.

 

With my old street setup, I ran 2.5" downpipe to a 2.5 flex pipe, to the longest 2.5" resonator to a 2.5 in/out spin tech muffler. No cat. It sounded pretty good. Those mufflers are more known by the domestic crowd, but it made my car sound just a little different than every other burner.


Just put as long/many resonators as you can. They don't restrict flow, and they are the secret to keeping **** quiet.
