5th Gen Prelude Front bumper material?
What material is used in Honda's genuine front bumpers?
I am worried because I am about to buy a bumper from this guy, he said the bumper is urethane. Now I don't know if thats a good thing or bad thing.
Which material is good and which is not good? Help.

Urethane.
Good = Urethane. Stock bumpers are made out of this. When hit, it deforms and may crack under high stress.
Bad = Fiberglass. Ricershit bodykits are made from this. When hit, it explodes in a fine mist of fiberglass and rice.

If you make sure that it is primed and sealed correctly before it's painted then you won't have any problems with the paint.

OEM bumpers are urethane. The paint doesn't explode if you pressure wash it. Proof that if you paint it right it'll stick.

Yes, fiberglass is highly explosive. Be careful around it. A friend of mine had his finger blown off by it once.
You can tell a fiberglass kit on a car because usually they're cheaply made and are lumpy.

fiberglass doesnt flex well. Its very brittle and will crack and if hit with enough force will explode into fine plastic like peices.
Urethane flexs. If hit it will flex to an extent then crack and break. not explode and shatter like **** fiberglass would. you gets what you pay for.
