Is there anything special that needs to be done to repaint bumpers? It's just a stock OEM bumper, but it's silver. My car is white. Any tips or tricks to keep the paint flexible and not crack over time?

Basically just go over the bumper, repair and scratches or chips. Use plastic repair material, primer filler on repair areas. Sand primer filler down (600/800 wet, either or). Scuff the entire bumper down, wash, dry bumper. Then paint your bumper, and don't forget flex additive. If you need me to go into better detail just ask

That's what I keep on hearing, to add a flex additive. Do I have to mix it in with the base and/or clear? Thanks again!

Yup you just mix it in. When I sprayed DuPont they suggested mixing it in with your base coat also. Basically it's just a cap full of additive per 10oz of paint, if I remember correctly.

^^good info...The paint system I use mostly, recommends the flex in the primer also. Using quality automotive paint would make a long lasting finish. As long as the current finish on the part is adhering good your golden.
