Default h&r springs

I'm having a dilemma, i was wondering if put the dc sports jdm headers and then drop the car on h&r race springs would that be too low, causing me to scrape the headers and denting them please let me know if ne one is running this setup thanks guys.

I heard that the DC Sports headers have shitty clearance anyway. I believe the H&R race springs drop you 2.25in front and 2in rear so it'll be pushing it.

Perhaps someone with the DC header could chime in.

i have the dc jdm header, and i'm hammered on omnipowers. i've only scraped once. if you actually pay attention when you are driving, and aren't a total douchebag, then you will be fine.

these are the two main reasons why people with a low car and the jdm dc header have dents.

IF YOU MUST HAVE A LOW CAR, PAY ****** ATTENTION!!!!

That's not _THAT_ bad considering those skirts are atleast 2" thicker than OEM

It is going to be really bad. I would highly recommend against it.

On stock height, the dc jdm already hangs low.

It's worth the extra money to get the oem JDM 4-1 w/ a skidplate.

No worries:

Whoever said they don't sit that low I think is mistaken. I have dents on my stock header from riding so low on my H&R race springs. Considering everyone is saying it hangs rather low I think you will run into problems. Heres my car with AGX's and the RACE springs.

hehe, well then my comment stands. his was uncalled for. i don't come on here saying how shitty his hood looks and how ugly his yellow car is. i came on here posting pics of race springs so the poster could get a clue on how bad it would be for his jdm header. then mr. wiseass comes and you know the rest........

well if you are on Koni's then you have a hieght adjustability in the shock so you could set it for low
I haev had the bove mentioned set up and I did not dent the header but I did scrape the test pipe a few times
if your that worried just get soem coilovers like the Omni or Apollo and set hieght the way you want to

I agree, just drive carefully

I was considering lowering my ITR but I don't want to go through the hustle of damaging my headers.

HA!
a few weeks back Opie and I were in Manhattan doing the cruise and on 57th St going about 20 I bottomed out and nicked my oem 4-1 header, Boy was I pissed! But it was only a scrape with close to no damage. I can't picture all you fools going thru NYC with dropped cars and headers. 8 out of 10 of you would leave this city with damage underneath.

My caR is on stock suspension too

i am running stock shocks and h&r sports springs. i've never had a problem with scraping my JDM DC 4-1 header when daily driving. it's only been scraped and slightly dented because i went off course when autocrossing. honestly, it really is about paying attention when driving. sometimes you can't help scraping, but it's never happened to me.
