Default Repetitive CELs

I threw a CEL for a slow response o2 sensor. I went to autozone and had the code cleared and it hasn't come on since. Does this mean it was a one time occurence?

I mean if it hasn't thrown another CEL since the ECM was cleared the o2 sensor should be fine right?

I don't know - mine keeps coming on though....have to get a wideband O2 sensor anyway....if it doesn't come back on, i would guess that nothing is wrong....however, if you turned off the car, it should have went off anyway.....but if it didn't - i think you should replace it.

?? CELs don't clear by turning off the car, you have to pull the radio fuse or clear them with a diagnostic tool

This happened to me on my Civic Si a lot. CEL would come on, (weak O2 sensors), I would disconnect the battery, they would go off, and come back on a few weeks later.

cool, that's what i wanted to know. that it would throw another cel once cleared if the o2 sens was really bad.

it could just be dirty too, and throw an occasional cel (usually when riding in 3k + rpm's before you reach operating temp. you can always get some carb cleaner and clean it off if it's not too bad.

Well - mine only comes on when i'm really pushing the car......but if i don't push it, it doesn't come on....when i jump it i can read that it's the O2 though.
